In a July 20, 2015 article in Metro by Colin Perkel of the Canadian Press, Gregory Gomez was quoted regarding a case where the Manhattan DA went forward in a "lesser-used preliminary hearing" in a slashing case involving three Canadian nationals at the W Hotel in Manhattan. Regarding the hearing, Mr. Gomez stated, "I don't think the victim testified credibly," and added, "I don't think she can properly identify who did what and what actually occurred."
In a July 15, 2015 article entitled, "Ontario Women Remain Behind Bars in Alleged NYC Hotel Attack," partner Gregory Gomez was interviewed by The Toronto Sun regarding a case of his in which he represents a young women charged in an alleged gang assault case at the Times Square W Hotel. The case is still pending.
In a June 11, 2015 article, Gregory Gomez was quoted in the New York Daily News after he obtained a non-criminal disposition for his client, a women charged in the infamous "Subway Slap" case. He is quoted as saying, "We are pleased [our client] can put this ordeal behind her without a criminal record and focus on her college studies."
Gregory Gomez was quoted in an April 7, 2015 article in DNAInfo entitled, "Couple Mugged On Their Way To a Date at Applebee's, Police Say." The firm intends to litigate the case fully. The matter is still pending.
